More sold stickers going up in Northcote
As we mentioned in last week’s post, we’ve been seeing some really strong buyer activity in the Northcote area recently and today provided yet another example of this. Despite the strong winds threatening to convert our Auction flag into a parachute, our team was able to achieve yet another 100% auction success rate for our vendors.
Perhaps the biggest result of the day over in Lees Street, Northcote, where a recently update 2-bedrooom Art Deco style home (pictured) in the Westgarth precinct went under the auctioneer’s gavel. Nestled in between Fairfield Village and Westgarth Village, this property was within walking distance of trains, Johnson Park and Westgarth Primary, as well as being zoned to Northcote High. So, the location certainly attracted plenty of interest.
In the end, the bidding pushed well beyond the ecstatic vendor’s reserve price, with a young professional couple placing the winning bid.
Importantly for those with an eye on future trends in the market, it was noticeable that despite the weather, inspection numbers at many of our Open Houses this week were also up. This is another good sign for anyone planning a sale, particularly with the official start of the Spring selling season now just a matter of weeks away. Frightening, isn’t it?
