More strong sales confirm local real estate market confidence

From our perspective here at Barry Plant Preston, we have every confidence that the strong demand for townhouses is here to stay. We are finding that whilst there are still lots of buyers for free-standing homes on their own allotments, many buyers are finding that a good townhouse will provide a good level of accommodation with modern comforts in a location that might otherwise be out of the reach of the buyer’s budget.

A prime example of what is possible was demonstrated in the recent sale of an architect-designed two-bedroom townhouse (pictured) in Swallow Street, Preston.

This brand-new residence offered an impressive catalogue of quality inclusions, ranging from Smeg appliances and stone benchtops in the kitchen, European Oak floors, rainfall showers and porcelain tiles in the bathrooms, an impressive cantilevered staircase, video security and more. Of course, having the Plenty Road trams around the corner and being a short walk from Preston Market, the cafe strip on High Street and the station meant that buyers were able to secure all the lifestyle benefits that attracted them to Preston in the first place. As a result, a strong mid-week sale was completed at the full asking price of $709,000.
