Strong results continue in Northcote
Our recent run of strong results in the Northcote property market is continuing unabated with an outstanding result being achieved for some lovely clients who asked us to market a charming Victorian terrace home in Lawry Street.
This property enjoyed the unmistakable appeal of a classic Victorian front façade which, as you can see in the picture, captures a snapshot of inner Melbourne architecture at its best. However, many of the buyers were more interested in exploring what the future may hold, as this property also offered potential for extension, or even redevelopment off the rear laneway if the Council agreed.
Those with a preference for renovation had plenty to work with, including lovely high ceilings, timber floors underfoot, corbelled archways, cornices and rosettes.
No matter what the plan, all of the buyers responded positively to the close access to Separation Street and Northcote Plaza, not to mention the short walk to the bars and cafes in the Rucker’s Hill precinct, the 86 tram and All Nations Park.
The good news was that this potential-filled opportunity in Northcote found new owners after some serious post-auction negotiations produced a very pleasing sale at $1.35 million…which just goes to show that persistence really does pay.
