Three out of three to finish a big November

All three of this week’s auctions were sold, including:

33 Roseberry Avenue, Preston

This impeccably renovated four-bedroom Californian Bungalow was featured in the herald-Sun’s Realestate lift out on auction day, so it was no surprise to see a huge crowd turning out to watch at least five bidders compete, (with many more not getting the chance to raise their hands). The bidding opened at $1.2 million and didn’t slow at all when the property was declared on the market at $1.45 million. Indeed, the competition continued all the way to $1.59 million which, as you can see from the photo, our clients seemed pretty happy about. Congratulations to all concerned.

Three main bidders competed for the keys of this modern three-bedroom double-storey home which enjoyed easy access to the Plenty Road trams, Regent Station, and vibrant attractions of High Street. Competitive bidding took the eventual sale price well beyond our happy vendor’s reserve.

Most of the buyer interest was focused on the development or rebuilding potential of the 602sqm block, particularly given its position on the Thornbury fringe. So this versatile period home and self-contained flat will be interesting to follow in the coming years to see what the new owners decide to do. A very successful auction campaign indeed.
