If you ever needed confirmation of Preston’s growing reputation as one of Melbourne’s property hot spots, you would only need to pick up a copy of this morning’s ‘Age’ newspaper and flick through the Domain lift-out to see how far our local housing scene has come in recent years.

This week’s “House of the Week” feature by Lou Sweeney, (you’ll find it spread across pages 10 and 11 if you’re interested), took a close look at one of our current listings, a beautifully renovated home in Hope Street in Preston. And whilst feature articles on homes in Preston have become more common in recent years, (a reflection of the growing market awareness of the benefits and value that this area offers), it was Lou Sweeney’s comments that really got us smiling.

For example, her opening paragraph reads, “There are times in this job where you just want to grab a home owner, hug them and say thanks. Out here in Preston, it was one of those days…”

The appreciation of a special home didn’t stop there either, as the closing paragraph proves, “Thanks to the thinkers and makers – creating a new Melbourne one smart idea at a time.”

Coverage like this is not only good news for the vendors of this property, but is a positive for anyone planning on selling in Preston, as it adds to the growing market awareness of our area. So feel free to take a read of the article and enjoy!
