Sales continue as buyers go fully digital

It’s been another busy week for the Barry Plant team in Brimbank, with the realities of real estate in a lockdown becoming more familiar with the passing of each day.

Our people have been active conducting virtual inspections and virtual appraisals for numerous buyers and local homeowners, as enquiry levels and demand for updated information remain strong. It’s important to remember that people need to transact in the property market for many reasons, so the fact that they can’t physically inspect a property means that more of them are exploring what options technology can provide them, (and making decisions based on those solutions).

Among the more recent results we’ve achieved in this ‘virtual’ real estate market were:

Albanvale: 317 Main Road West. This recently updated three-bedroom home made a strong impression with its neutral internal colour palette, selling for $592,000.

Hillside: 3 Aikshaw Close. After 27 virtual inspections, Tuesday’s online auction of this four-bedroom home attracted five registered bidders, selling on the day to the highest bidder for a pleasing $740,000.

Hillside: 30 Tormorvey Avenue. Three separate virtual inspection events produced over a dozen registered bidders for the online auction, with the sale at $804,000 being well above the reserve.

Kings Park: 1/14 Shepherds Grove. With direct access to Burnside Heights Recreation reserve just around the corner, this three-bedroom front unit took little time to sell at $500,000.

Kings Park: 69 Kurung Drive. With the park over the back fence and the school across the road, this three-bedroom home (pictured) had plenty to offer a young family, producing $690,000.

St Albans: 54 Walter Street. This well-built three-bedroom home with ample car accommodation made the most of its elevated position, selling for $720,000.

St Albans: 3 Ross Street. Potential was one of the key attractions of this three-bedroom weatherboard home a short walk from the station, resulting in an excellent sale at $730,000.

St Albans: 12 Cleveland Street. Boasting a generous allotment of around 810sqm, this five-bedroom home drew the attention of several local builders and developers before selling for $830,000.

With results like these, it’s clear that the Spring market is going to be a positive time for vendors, even while we can’t conduct physical inspections. So, if you’re keen to get a head-start on all those who will be rushing to market after the restrictions ease, give us a call this week at Barry Plant St Albans to discuss how you can make the most of this pent-up demand. Our number is 9367 7044.
