So, if you missed the message that the Barry Plant group published on the back page of the Realestate lift-out in Saturday’s Herald-Sun this week, (May 23rd), we wanted to remind everyone that our network sold 405 properties during April. Yes, despite all the challenges of the ever-changing rules on Auctions, Open Houses and property inspections that occurred in April, our group assisted over 800 buyers and sellers to achieve their goals and to move on with their lives.

That’s a statistic that all of the team at Barry Plant Caroline Springs and Taylors Lakes are immensely proud of in a market where so many people have assumed that the real estate market has slowed substantially. Clearly it hasn’t. In fact, as we have reported in recent weeks, market activity has steadily increased since April, with a prime example being the successful sale of the three-bedroom townhouse (pictured) situated a stone’s throw from Taylors Hill Primary School in Callista Circuit, Taylors Hill.

This particular property attracted strong inquiries from a number of first home buyers and investors, (the two buyer types that were supposed to be hit the hardest during the current Covid-19 pandemic) and achieved a very pleasing mid-week sale at $528,000.

Results like these, along with the sheer weight of our group’s overall sales results in April, provide a telling insight into what is really happening on the ground in our local property market.
