It may be holiday time for some, but there’s been no sign of a slow-down among home buyers in Melbourne’s north-west, with the market picking up exactly where it left off in 2021. In fact, our team has completed between 120-150 buyer inspections per week since the start of January, which is great news for anyone considering selling in the next month or two.

These strong activity levels have produced some outstanding sales results for our vendors, including:

Caroline Springs: 7 Buvelot Crescent. This immaculate two-bedroom low maintenance home attracted interest from a mix of market entrants, investors and downsizers before the sold sign went up at a very pleasing $630,000.

Deanside: 2 Lineker Drive. Situated in this up-and-coming new neighbourhood, this Hamptons-inspired three-bedroom home provided a flying start to the new year for the new owners, who seized the keys at $670,000.

Deer Park: 13 Hovell Street. Situated within a short walk of Brimbank Central Shopping Centre, this convenient three-bedroom home achieved a strong mid-week sale at $635,000.

Deer Park: 13 Little Street. Renovated to an impressive standard, this appealing three-bedroom home around the corner from Deer Park North Primary School enjoyed an excellent sale in the first few days of the new year.

Kings Park: 6 Timothy Court. Proof that the market never takes a holiday, this four-bedroom home was listed just before Christmas and was sold in the first few days of the new year for an impressive $695,000.

St Albans: 9 Albert Crescent. Our team was able to achieve strong sales on two older-style two-bedroom units in this conveniently located group, each changing hands around the $300,000-mark.

St Albans: 17 Toledo Road. Offering easy access to schools, parks and transport, this three-bedroom home sold in the midst of the festive season for $670,000.

Taylors Hill: 26 Coogee Drive. Boasting a prime position in one of Taylors Hill’s most popular pockets, this beautifully detailed four-bedroom home certainly made an impact on all who visited. It didn’t take long for the contracts to be inked at $1.25 million after some productive post-auction negotiations.

Taylors Lakes: 31 Tintaldra Drive. This high-set owner-built three-bedroom home with an unusual multi-level floorplan (pictured) produced an outstanding midweek sale at $920,000.

Results like these are a clear indication that there is an opportunity out there for anyone considering selling in 2022 to get in early and take advantage of a market where stock levels have returned to the tight numbers we saw in the peak of the market last year. If you’d like an obligation-free discussion on what your options might be, you can give us a call this week at Barry Plant Caroline Springs and Taylors Lakes on 9390 8333.

Cheers,
