Strong Summer market continues

Once again this week, our team in Melbourne’s north-west has been able to achieve a succession of strong sales results that have exceeded most people’s expectations.

Not only were all five of this weekend’s scheduled auctions successfully sold, allowing our vendors to move on with their plans in the shadow of Christmas, but many of them produced such strong interest that they were actually sold before the auctioneer was required to raise his gavel.

Here’s a summary of many of our recent results:

  • Fraser Rise: 54 Aspire Boulevard. This three-bedroom home was a beneficiary of our extensive database of motivated buyers, selling before the internet campaign could be launched.
  • Hillside: 7 Lightwood Close. Set at the end of the court, not far from Cana Catholic Primary School, this four-bedroom home was another that sold before the photographer even had a chance to take the photos!
  • Hillside 13 Pimelea Way. This beautifully renovated three-bedroom home sold in the first week of its auction campaign after a convincing early offer of $665,000.
  • St Albans: 18 Epalock Crescent. This conveniently situated three-bedroom home was another example of the high demand in the market. An effective off-market campaign produced almost instant results.
  • St Albans: 6 Swansea Parade: This week’s auction of a comfortable three-bedroom family home with lots of upside saw the SOLD sign go up at a very pleasing $590,000.
  • St Albans: 2 Southwold Street. Easy access to both Primary and Secondary Schools added to the appeal of this three-bedroom home. A strong mid-week sale produced $600,000.
  • Sydenham: 2/36 Albert Road. Enjoying close proximity to Watergardens, this neat two-bedroom unit attracted a mix of downsizers and market entrants, selling for $430,000.
  • Taylors Lakes: 66 Village Avenue. This three-bedroom townhouse on a low maintenance site on the edge of the Linear Park sold prior to auction after a strong early offer of $453,000 sealed the deal.
  • Taylors Lakes: 6 Apollo Road. A neighbour of last week’s memorable auction, this three-bedroom home was another to attract strong early interest, selling prior to auction for $690,000.
  • Taylors Lakes: 5 Lyrebird Court. One of the few of our scheduled auctions to go under the hammer this week, this four-bedroom home was on the market with the second bid of $800,000, but a spirited bidding duel between three bidders pushed the price all the way to $858,500. As you can see from the photo, both vendors and buyers seemed delighted with the result.
