Market takes another ‘leap’ as summer ends

I hope your ‘leap day’ was a positive one…it certainly was for the property market in Melbourne’s north. Indeed, it’s been a solid week for our team at Barry Plant Thomastown and for our vendors, with more outstanding sales results being achieved both mid-week and on the weekend.

Once again, our team was able to achieve another 100% auction success rate for our clients. However, the value of strong mid-week negotiations was also brought into focus, with one of our properties being sold so quickly that it didn’t even get a chance to hit the internet!

Among out more notable recent results were:

  • 4 Lionel Street, Thomastown

Nestled into a private garden oasis that our vendors had devoted many years to creating, this peaceful three-bedroom home had extra appeal for buyers with a ‘green thumb’ and those who enjoyed entertaining outdoors. A well-structured marketing campaign produced a competitive auction between three bidders who drove the price all the way to $622,000. As you can see from the photo, our vendors were thrilled with the result, and have already started packing in preparation for moving on to the next phase of their lives.

  • 181 Kingsway Drive, Lalor

This three-bedroom home had undergone some impressive renovations in the lead-up to hitting the market. We’d love to be able to show you some photos of the transformation, but the home sold so quickly that we didn’t even have time to get the photographers through the house before the SOLD sign went up for $630,000. Again, our vendor was over the moon with the result.

Make no mistake…with so few properties currently available for sale in the area, and so many highly motivated buyers keen to purchase, it’s a great time to be selling. Don’t hesitate to call the team at Barry Plant Thomastown this week on 9466 3233 if you’d like to discuss how you can achieve a terrific sale too.

Best wishes,

Con Constantinou
