About Clarinda

Clarinda is a multicultural suburb approximately 19km south-east of Melbourne’s CBD, and is part of the City of Kingston local government area. Clarinda's population was 7,441 as of the 2021 census.

Clarinda has access to a number of major shopping centres namely Chadstone, Southland & DFO Moorabbin which are conveniently located 10- 15 minute drive away if you want to go on a shopping spree or out to dinner and the movies.

The suburb is also serviced by Clarinda Primary School, St. Andrew's Catholic Primary School & Heatherton Christian College and within a short distance to other schools and Universities in surrounding suburbs.

Clarinda is a small suburb that evolved in the mid to late 1970's. It is close to Huntingdale High School. On Centre Road in South Oakleigh is the Olympic Ice Skating Centre which is about 1 kilometre from Clarinda.
