The Shire of Baw Baw is a local government area in Victoria, Australia, in the eastern part of the state. It covers an area of 4,031 square kilometres and at the 2016 Census had a population of approximately 48,500.
Nillumbik Shire is 25km north-east of Melbourne and the southern boundary is the Yarra River. The south of Nillumbik is predominantly urban, with commercial centres at Eltham and Diamond Creek. North of the municipality is Kinglake National Park.
