Usually October is Wishtober at Barry Plant. It’s when we raise money for Make-A-Wish by donating money from every property we sell. The restrictions we are operating under here in Victoria have meant that we’ve had to cancel those plans this year. But we’ve still donated $20,000 to help them.
Make-A-Wish is a wonderful organisation who work to make the wishes come true of children and teenagers facing life-threatening medical conditions. We’ve raised over half a million dollars over the last five years for Make-A-Wish, but there is always a long list of children waiting for their wishes.
We know times are tough, but imagine how tough it would be if your child was seriously ill. If you can spare a few dollars to put a smile on the face of a child fighting a serious illness, that would be great.
