First and foremost, allow me to extend my congratulations to all the excited Collingwood supporters after a thrilling win on Saturday. Clearly, dreams do come true!

But it’s also worth noting that so many determined homebuyers have been able to bring their own dreams to reality in recent days as well, remaining focused on the property market rather than the Grand Final.

As this cross-section of recent results shows, our team at Barry Plant Moonee Valley have been achieving some remarkable results in a wide range of areas and price brackets…

Aberfeldie: 20 Clifton Street. Enjoying an elevated position between Clifton Park and the river, this four-bedroom timber home (pictured) attracted interest from new home builders and investors as well as those keen to renovate. The SOLD sign went up last weekend.

Ascot Vale: 4/157 Epsom Road. Situated in the heart of Ascot Vale within a short walk of cafes, restaurants, shops and transport options, this single-bedroom apartment attracted interest from a mix of market entrants, investors and local downsizers before selling during the week at $316,000.

Keilor East: 37 Cecelia Drive. Close to the shops at Milleara Mall as well as quality schools, this charming three-bedroom home with multiple living zones had plenty to offer a growing family, and sold for a competitive $850,000.

Maribyrnong: 8/53 The Esplanade. Recently updated and boasting a highly sought after address near the river, this two-bedroom first floor apartment was one of only eight in the block. Competitive negotiations produced $412,000.

North Melbourne: 903/111 Canning Street. The opportunity to secure a three-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment with city skyline views and a shopping centre downstairs proved appealing for a large number of convenience-conscious buyers, with the keys changing hands at $1 million.

In further confirmation of our strong sales results in the local apartment market, our team also has contracts signed and the final details awaiting completion on sales on a variety of apartments in areas like Ascot Vale, Essendon, Footscray and Moonee Ponds…but more about these in coming weeks.

As I mentioned in LAST WEEK'S POST, we are now entering the peak period of the Spring selling season. So if you’re keen to find out how much more your current home could be worth with the right strategy and marketing behind it, you can give us a call this week at Barry Plant Moonee Valley on 9373 0000.

Regards,

Bill Karp
