As many market watchers would have expected, our first weekend of auctions for the new year got off to a flying start.

One of this week’s auctions saw more than 40 bids placed before the result was finalised, whilst another attracted so much interest that the vendors decided to accept a strong early offer rather than waiting for auction day to arrive.

Among this week’s results were:

Greenvale: 25 Giselle Circuit

A popular location close to the reservoir, a spacious single-level floorplan and the flexibility of four bedrooms proved a popular combination when we auctioned this appealing family home. It took 42 bids in a spirited bidding duel to decide who would win the keys, but the hammer eventually fell at a remarkable $602,750…well above our happy vendor’s expectations. As you can see from the photo, the buyer was pretty happy about the result too!

Greenvale: 9 Port Patrick Court

Capturing restful valley views over the Yuroke Creek reserve from its elevated subdivided block, this modern double-storey four-bedroom home certainly made an impact on buyers with its high-end finishes, its generous entertaining spaces and low maintenance features. Our team completed a very satisfying mid-week sale at $726,000.

Westmeadows: 5/82-84 Hillcrest Drive

Hillcrest drive has always been one of the more popular locations in Westmeadows, so it was no surprise to see the level of interest generated by this immaculate three-bedroom townhouse. First home buyers and investors responded well to the dual living zones and the high-gloss kitchen with 900mm appliances, with a strong pre-auction sale being completed at $570,000.

Land Sales:

As we mentioned in LAST WEEK'S UPDATE, activity among land buyers has been strong recently, and we saw more of it this week with strong offers being made in the Nova Estate. We’ll update you further once all the details are finalised.

Don’t forget, whether you are planning on buying, selling or both, our team at Barry Plant Gladstone Park is here to help you. Don’t hesitate to give us a call on 9330 1088.
