If you’ve ever wondered about the underlying resilience of the Melbourne property market, even in times when the external economic influences would appear to be extremely negative, the back page of Saturday’s Realestate lift-out in the Herald-Sun would have given you plenty of food for thought.

In case you missed it, the Barry Plant group was able to confirm that, despite the ever changing range of restrictions across our Victorian offices, our virtual and online solutions assisted our agents to help thousands of people find and buy the home of their dreams; with over 2000 properties sold or settled during August and September alone!

As we pointed out in LAST WEEK'S UPDATE, our network sold or settled over 250 properties in the first week of October after the inspection restrictions were lifted, so there are clearly lots of keen buyers who are anxious to secure their next home as soon as possible.

Among the exciting recent results were:

Airport West: An effective off-market campaign produced $560,000 on a modern 2-bedroom unit.

Airport West: An elevated 3-bedroom home in Hillside Grove sold for $766,000.

Airport West: A brand new two-storey home in Watts Street produced $980,000.

Avondale Heights: A tranquil 4-bedroom home near Monte Carlo reserve didn’t take long to achieve a seven-figure result.

Essendon: Two modern townhouses, (one new) achieved outstanding private sales results.

Essendon North: A sizeable family home in Salisbury Street sold for a substantial seven-figure sum.

Keilor East: A rare vacant homesite in the Valley Lakes Estate sold for $675,000.

Keilor East: Competitive negotiations saw $910,000 achieved for a Glenvill-built 3-bedroom home (pictured) in the Pavilions Estate.

Maribyrnong: A neat 2-bedroom flat neat the river achieved $364,000.

Clearly, there are a lot of buyers out there who are actively searching for their next home, so if you’re thinking of selling, be sure to contact team at Barry Plant Moonee Valley for details on how we can safely and effectively sell your home.

Give us a call this week on 9319 1700.

Best wishes,
