Wendouree is a large suburb, on the north western rural-urban fringe of Ballarat and has the largest population of all of the suburbs in the City of Ballarat.

The suburbs name comes from the man-made lake located nearby Lake Wendouree.

The area provides excellent retail facilities at Stockland Shopping centre, a medical precinct, public transport, Eureka Stadium, Performing arts centre, Ballarat Showgrounds and an easy walk to the beautiful Lake where you can enjoy a walk around the lake, the famous Begonia Festival in the Botanic Gardens in March each year and Springfest in September.

Schools in the suburb include Ballarat Grammar, Federation University, Wendouree Primary School, Yuille Park Community College, OLHC and a number of Kindergartens.
