About Monbulk

Monbulk is situated in the heart of the Dandenong Ranges about 55km east of Melbourne.

Monbulk has a Living and Learning Centre fondly know as 'The Hub'. It is home to the Baby Health Centre, the Pre-School, The Elderly Citizen's meeting place, the Historical Society and soon to house the Primary School Library.

Monbulk has a variety of shops for local and surrounding residents. It hosts four major banks, National Australia Bank, Commonwealth Bank, Bendigo Community Bank and ANZ Bank, a Shire of Yarra Ranges Community Link which is situated in the Living and Learning Centre, a Safeway supermarket and a Mitre 10 hardware store and many more warm and friendly services from the local traders.

The Monbulk area thrives on its agricultural industries including flowers, bulbs, trees and plants. The diverse range of nurseries in the area makes Monbulk a gardener's delight.

Monbulk has three primary schools and two secondary colleges within its region and the proud sporting history is a credit to the community of Monbulk with their various facilities all within close proximity of the local shopping centre.
